Tül is the founder and director of Music Together Bern.

She is driven by her love for seeing people, and especially kids, connect with and through music and movement. Tül discovered Music Together^® more than 10 years ago and became a certified Music Together teacher in 2014 after completing her training in Bologna, Italy. Between 2014-2019, she worked as a teacher at Salon Sanat Music Together Program in Istanbul, under the direction of Yapıncak Gürerk.

As a child, Tül was a painting enthusiast who spent her whole time with crayons and gigantic sketch books. Later on, her focus shifted towards music when she started piano lessons at the age of 8. Between 1999 and 2006, she studied violin, piano and music theory as part of her full-time conservatory education in Istanbul. She then taught children and adults in these fields for almost 15 years. She finished her bachelor in Musicology in 2010 and completed her Master’s in Ethnomusicology in 2015. After serving as a Research Assistant and Lecturer at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University in Istanbul, she moved to Bern, Switzerland in 2019. While working as a scientific researcher at the University of Bern she also pursued her PhD in Musicology and Interdisciplinary Cultural Studies at the same university, and she graduated in 2024.

Besides her educational background and professional experiences with music, Tül is also passionate about dancing. She is actively involved in Argentine Tango and participates in various dance and movement workshops. Nowadays, she also enjoys returning to her early childhood passion for painting, likes to attend concerts, exploring Swiss mountains, and simply spending time with her family and her friends.
